This app can be used to determine the relative distances of objects from a central reference point. To use, press the "Trigger" button and align the centre circle with your reference point. In lawn bowls, this would be the jack. (note:- some clubs do not allow electronic measurement).
Rotate the phone/tablet in the directions of the arrows and the screen will capture the image when the orientation is within measuring limits.
Once the screen is captured, you can use your finger to re-adjust the range rings so that reference point is exact.
Check the accuracy of your phone by placing a large circular item, eg a dinner plate, on the ground and capture a picture. Centre the cross hairs on the item and adjust the range ring slider to measure the item. If errors are found go back and calibrate your phone.
